Facing global changes and a pandemic both unseen in a century，we foresee a world entering a period of turbulence and transformation at a faster pace.In 2022，both international and domestic situations were exacerbated by various unstable and uncertain factors，posing severe challenges to human development，with the path to modernization once again coming to a critical turning-point of history.

With the global economy facing strong headwinds，the widening of gaps across regions，and the continuous deterioration of the ecological environment，China tried to stem the tide，firmly adhered to the right course of history and the progress of human civilization，and valiantly contributed Chinese wisdom and solution to the world—advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization.Bringing stability and incentive，the Chinese solution will set the pace in a world of uncertainty and instability，offer new ideas and support for resolving global development issues，and contribute Chinese strength to global development.

Today's China is a country closely connected with the world.Its global influence has never been so comprehensive，profound or lasting，as it has been fulfilling its responsibilities to contribute strength and employing its wisdom to build consensus.

We will promote the great concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind，and always believe in and uphold that shared future is not a vision，but that China，devoted to better life for mankind，will accelerate rather than slow down in advancing an open world economy and a community with a shared future for mankind.Working together is the choice of China to build a community with a shared future for mankind，and perseverance is the commitment of China to the world.Therefore，China will strengthen coordination and cooperation with the international community while pursuing its own development，use China's new achievements in development to provide the world with new opportunities，expand the convergence of interests and achieve the biggest synergy possible.We will work together to make the pie of the global market even bigger，strengthen the mechanisms for sharing benefits globally，and explore new ways of international cooperation so as to promote the recovery and continuous development of the global economy in the post-pandemic era.

We situate our development in the general trend of international system transformation to better understand China's historical position and role in the international landscape.China will continue to keep in mind both the interests of the Chinese people and the common interests of the people of all countries，develop itself while keeping a close connection with the world，and promote world prosperity and stability through its own development.On the basis of coordinating domestic and international situations，we will pursue progress while ensuring stability in the face of complicated circumstances and the rapidly changing international environment.We will vitalize the Chinese market，the largest single market in the world，by deepening reform，opening up wider and encouraging innovation，as such a super-large single market is a key force to stabilize the global industrial and supply chains.We need to establish a more resilient and competitive industrial chain system，make China a major magnet for global production factors and resources，and cope with all future and external uncertainties based on the certainty of its own high-quality development.

We will study and boldly practice the theory on the Chinese path to modernization put forward in the 20 ^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China（CPC）.As the largest developing country in the world，China would make major contributions to world peace and development by its own sustained and stable development.China has been the largest contributor to global economic growth since 2008，and its contribution to global economic growth averaged 38.6% from 2013 to 2021.In the past three years，China has seen an average annual growth rate of 4.5%，which is higher than the world average of about 1.8%，elevating it to a leading position among the world's major economies to become the main stabilizer and power source of global economic growth.As an important contributor to the recovery of global trade，China cannot develop without the rest of the world，and the world needs China for prosperity.At a time with world-wide pandemic outbreak，energy crisis，and Russia-Ukraine conflict，the international public opinion is expecting for China to continuously release kinetic energy and boost the steady recovery and growth of global economy.The international community is looking forward to hearing the voice of China and seeing Chinese solutions.Therefore，the exploration and practice of the new Chinese path to modernization are not only national，but also cosmopolitan；not only of China，but also of the world.

As a new type of Chinese think tank，Research and Development International（RDI）has made in-depth exploration and innovation in service mode to endow it with such features as“dual promotion by government and enterprises”，“remove key impediments to the dual circulation”and“exploration+cultivation+promotion”.We will build RDI into a first-class brand among applied think tanks by centering on high-level consultative conferences，research reports and enterprise services.

2022 has passed in a flash.However，the scenes of transformation of the world in a new dimension are still lingering in our mind，such as defining the course on the 20 ^th CPC National Congress，accelerating the Chinese path to modernization，and seeking common ground while reserving differences on the G20 Summit.

2023 is the first year to fully implement the guiding principles of the 20 ^th CPC National Congress，a crucial year for continuing to implement the 14 ^th Five-Year Plan，and the 10 ^th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative（BRI）.The beginning has a bearing on the overall situation and determines the rest of the course.

We believe that China will consolidate its foundation for economic recovery，and the ship of China's economy will brave the wind and waves to set sail for a more prosperous future amid the major changes unseen in a century.The great Chinese nation will also live up to its mission and continue to record new achievements！
