RDI enterprise platform has established a complete enterprise network.By actively cooperating with governments of provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities as well as local governments,we made efforts to discover leading local enterprises,"unicorn"enterprises and related upstream and downstream supporting enterprises in the industrial chain.In this process,we adhere to a"problem-oriented,demand-guided,project-based and result-focused"principle,and focus on the enterprises and their pain points through in-depth field research on the enterprises.Based on the current situation and competitive pattern of the industry,the advantages and disadvantages of competitors,the upstream and downstream of the enterprises,the status and market share of the enterprises in the industry concerned,the corporate governance structure,market concentration rate,business model,technology and product research and development and other important indicators,we have analyzed and predicted the development prospects and investment values of related enterprises discovered by RDI,identified and highlighted the advantages of the enterprises,and developed professional enterprise research reports,and then included high-quality enterprises and projects into the project library of RDI enterprise platform to continuously track the development dynamics of the enterprises.
In 2019,we established an RDI branch"RDI(Zhuhai)"(RDIZ in short,see Appendix 1 for details)jointly with the Management Committee of Hengqin New Area of Zhuhai,aiming at"discovering,nurturing and presenting"enterprises.RDIZ has a team of talents with multidisciplinary education background,who are familiar with marketization operations and can provide systematic and comprehensive service supports for the enterprises.It adopts a"region+country"approach to cooperation to allocate resources required for the development of high-quality enterprises it has discovered,build close cooperation with these enterprises,and provide them diversified services covering the full life cycle of enterprise development,such as strategic consultation,marketing and business development,connection with investment and financing platforms,and public relations with government at all levels.After scientific demonstration and analysis,it selects enterprises with higher development potential from the project library,incubate and cultivate them comprehensively,and promote enterprises involved to fix their targets in the core technology field to realize the strategic transformation of elevating the overall scientific and technological level from following their targets to keeping abreast of them and finally surpassing them;it guides and encourages enterprises to strengthen the R&D of substantial technologies,promotes the industry-specific application of a number of hard technologies such as 5G,artificial intelligence and chips,and focuses on supporting breakthroughs in substantial innovative technologies such as virtual reality,blockchain,and quantum technology.
On the basis of"discovery and nurturing",RDI enterprise platform"presents"the enterprises by sponsoring and organizing relevant high-end conferences and forumbased branding activities,and provides development opportunities for the enterprises to enhance their competitiveness at home and abroad under the guidance of relevant national ministries and local governments;it combines the current development demands of enterprises with national development strategies and international industrial trends,"presents"the enterprises mainly to the Belt and Road countries,SCO member countries,Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking countries,Central and Eastern European countries in the framework of"17+1 Cooperation",China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and other regions and countries,so as to build an international exchange and cooperation platform for the enterprises,which aims to drive the enterprises to replace old growth drivers with new ones and accelerate the formation of the new"dual circulation"development pattern.
While exploring the optimal approach to cooperate with enterprises,RDI enterprise platform has developed a systematic and comprehensive enterprise service system composed of seven core elements,including legal services,policy research,technical standards,information services,financial support,culture and brand,and capacity building(see the figure below).This system has served the enterprises well in optimizing resource allocation and strengthening capacity building,and empowered them to transform and upgrade and support each other in expanding overseas operation,thus effectively implementing the strategy of Chinese companies going global,and promoting their involvement in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Service System of the RDI Enterprise Platform
RDI enterprise platform actively cooperates with legal institutions to provide legal consulting services for enterprises,address legal concerns related to enterprise management,provide analysis and guidance for law-related issues to help enterprises prevent,control and eliminate legal risks.It also visits the enterprises to carry out special legal activities such as"legal health examination"and"connecting legal institutions with the enterprises",so as to have a deep understanding of the legal needs of enterprises and provide accurate legal services,thus safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests as well as the commercial value of the enterprises from any infringements.
RDI enterprise platform pays close attention to business environment improvement.In 2020,it undertook a key project of the National Development and Reform Commission, Research on the Openness Index System of the Belt and Road Countries ,established a mechanism for the enterprises to communicate with key junction countries as well as Chinese local governments and business associations,and made efforts to guide local governments to optimize the business environment and provide policy support for the settlement of high-quality enterprises and projects.
RDI enterprise platform attaches great importance to the leading role of technical standards.It joins hands with China National Institute of Standardization,Quality &Standard Research Development Institute.BJ and other relevant professional institutions,and systematically sorted out the international and Chinese admittance and technical standards for various industries and products to ensure that enterprises in economic and technical partnership will carry out R&D,design,processing,manufacturing and other businesses according to standards to promote market connectivity.
RDI enterprise platform provides timely market information and guidance.For domestic or international enterprises,business opportunities in the market are the necessary prerequisites for their economic and technological cooperation;however,it is difficult for a single enterprise(especially small and medium-sized ones)to identify and seize transnational business opportunities.Therefore,as a core measure to promote investment attraction and economic and technological cooperation,local governments can gather strength to play an important part in providing market information and guidance.
RDI enterprise platform makes efforts to establish a financial platform for international cooperation.To realize the transformation and upgrading of enterprises and local governments,and promote economic and technological cooperation of enterprises from China and other countries,it is urgent to establish a financial platform to support the development of international industries.We have established strategic partnership with Industrial Securities Co.,Ltd.,a securities company with full licenses,which aims to support local governments in financial innovation to make full use of loans,bonds,funds and other financial instruments as led by government funds,so as to attract global capital to support international cooperation.Moreover,it provides investment and financing cooperation opportunities for enterprises in expansion,and serves as a sponsor for listing of RDI platform enterprises with certain scale and qualification.
RDI enterprise platform emphasizes improving corporate culture and capacity building.Corporate culture and brand are powerful weapons to build influence,controlling force and leadership.They directly affect the long-term development of the enterprises,and are even decisive for their success and prosperity.Therefore,the corporate culture and brand building are vital for the enterprises.We join efforts with our powerful partners in making full use of our resource advantages to build and enhance the brand image and expand the connotation of the enterprises,so that they will build distinctive corporate culture,create a high-quality corporate brand and give full play to their overall brand effect.
RDI enterprise platform strives to enhance the overall capability of the enterprises in international cooperation.A significant challenge faced by Chinese enterprises in conducting international business is the lack of talents experienced in international business and unfamiliarity with international market laws and rules.Therefore,they need to vigorously recruit talents with international vision and knowledge of international business,and build a management team familiar with international rules and operations as well as a human resources team supporting industrial development.We have made full use of our ample experts to provide a lot of talent training for the enterprises and local governments to facilitate their high-quality development.
