The year 2020 will be remembered.It was a year when the global political and economic situation underwent profound adjustment.Moreover,the outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused continuous decline of the global economy,escalation of the trade friction between China and the United States,and more complicated domestic and international economic situation for China.In this context,the CPC Central Committee proposed to gradually form a new development pattern with the domestic market as the mainstay while domestic and international markets reinforce each other.It is a major strategic plan made by the CPC Central Committee as an active response to the new changes in the domestic and international situation,a strategic choice to fully unlock China's development potential,and a major strategic adjustment to cope with the"major changes unseen in a century".
As a new-type think tank with contemporary Chinese characteristics,we try to accurately identify the trend of the times,understand the strategic significance of"dual circulation",and fully recognize the new opportunities presented as China seeks to"foster new opportunities amidst crises,open up new horizons on a shifting landscape".Leveraging its advantages of perfect think tank network,international network,enterprise network,and city network,RDI adheres to an action principle that is"problem-oriented,demand-guided,project-based and result-focused",and actively participates in building the new"dual circulation"development pattern.
In 2020,RDI integrated various resources based on the current domestic and international situation more positively and proactively,emphasizing high-quality development,focusing on the industries,and boosting the enterprises.As a result,we have brought into being a"think tank+enterprise+city"tripartite cooperation path comprising"enterprise services,research reports,high-level consultative conferences,and park building".RDI enterprise platform has pooled 412 enterprises of various types,prepared many policy-oriented research reports for enterprises and industries,held many important high-level consultative conferences and enterprise presenting events with governments of provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities as well as local governments,and established strategic cooperative relations with the five major parks in China,providing new impetus to the"dual circulation"to nurture new advantages in international cooperation and competition under the new situation.
