It is with great pleasure and deep respect that I write this preface to Gary Zeng's book, a collection that encapsulates not only his evolution as a designer but also the personal journey that has shaped his work and vision over the years.Our acquaintance spans nearly two decades, a friendship that began on a serene Malaysian island, where, as two individuals united by a shared passion for design, art, and life, we embarked on conversations that ranged from the cosmos to the intricacies of the human experience.The exchanges we had during that time left an indelible impression on me—Gary’s enthusiasm, humor, and straightforwardness were qualities that instantly resonated with me.The saying “birds of a feather flock together” could not have been more fitting in this context, as we discovered early on that our shared interests and outlook on life would forge a lasting bond.
