An international conference on globalization will be held on May 11th, 2021 in our college. Now we are looking for volunteers to help as guides and interpreters during the conference. 20 volunteers are needed. If you have excellent language skills in English, Korean, French or Spanish, you are the one we're looking for. Besides, those who have experiences working as an interpreter are preferred. The picture depicts a “cultural hotpot”. As is shown, there are numerous ingredients from both Chinese culture and foreign culture in the pot, such as Confucianism, post-modernism, Kungfu, Einstein, Shakespeare, ballet Swan Lake and Beijing Opera. The hotpot looks delicious and nutritious because of the rich nutrition of the multi-cultural elements.

Obviously, the tendency of cultural exchange is attributed to the reform and opening-up policy and globalization. During the decades, lots of foreign cultures, like literature, arts and other cultural products have been introduced to China. The mix of different cultures, values and traditions has broadened our visions and enriched our spiritual life. Meanwhile, Chinese culture is also exposed to many foreigners now. Increasingly more people show much enthusiasm and get to know much about China. As a result, people all over the world benefit through cultural exchange and understand each other better.

In my opinion, with the speeding of globalization, the exchange of different cultures has become an inevitable trend of the time, and the distance between nations and people has been drawn nearer and nearer. We have recognized the advantages brought by the cultural exchange, and we look forward to witnessing more cultural exchanges.
