Traffic rules help to keep order on the road. They also help to keep people safe. Traffic accidents killed more than 104,000 people in China last year. As we all know there are more cars than before. So drivers and pedestrians（行人） must work together to make the roads much safer .
The pedestrian（行人） has as many rules to follow as the drivers. You should walk on the sidewalk（人行道） on the road. Always look carefully before you walk across the street.
If you often ride a bike, don't ride in the middle of the road or run through red traffic lights. When you ride a bike with a friend, don't look around or talk.
Drivers should slow down at the traffic lights. And the driver and passengers must always wear seat belts（安全带）. Without seat belts, they may be badly hurt in a sudden accident.
You must be careful if you have to travel in a bus. Get on or get off a bus only after it stops. When it is full, don't try to get inside, or you may fall off.
