Introduction

In this unit， we are going to learn about how to do career planning． Career planning is not just finding a job． It is the process by which an individual takes time to plan his or her job path in the light of his own strengths and motivations throughout his or her working life． Before choosing the right career， you need to learn about yourself． Your values， interests， soft skills， and aptitudes， in combination with your personality types， will make some occupations a good fit for you． By doing all the researches， you can pick the occupations which will bring you the most satisfaction． After learning this unit， you will know better about career planning and gain achievements in the workplace．

In this unit， we will learn：

i． some new words and expressions about career planning in a specific context properly；

ii． language skills including： inferring the meaning while listening and summarizing the content，identifying topic sentences and outlining the structure， forming a conversation and writing a public speech；iii． how to complete various tasks． For instance， you may search for successful career planning stories and share your findings with the classmates． In addition， Project 6 is mainly designed for selfstudy． You will study passages B and C by yourself to learn outlining and summarizing．
