党际交往和议会交流是中英关系的重要组成部分。使英期间，我积极推动和参与政党外交与议会交流，多次参加保守党、工党和自民党三大党年会，并在年会期间举办“中国论坛”。我还广泛接触英国各地方政党，包括苏格兰民族党和北爱尔兰民主统一党，努力增进英国各党派对中国的了解。英国议会跨党派中国小组新春招待会是我每年必出席的活动，也是我发表年度首篇演讲的场所。英国议会各党派举办的早餐会、午餐会和各种座谈会，我也是常客。还有各政党春节期间举行的庆祝活动，我都是有请必到，甚至不请也到。我经常为各政党和议会举办一些活动，包括主动请缨到议会发表演讲。

Inter-party exchanges and parliamentary exchanges are important components of China UK relations. During my tenure in the UK, I actively promoted and participated in party diplomacy and parliamentary exchanges, attending annual conferences of the Conservative Party, the Labour Party, and the Liberal Democrats many times, and hosted the“China Forum”during these conferences. I also extensively engaged with other political parties across the UK,including the Scottish National Party and the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland,striving to enhance the understanding of China among various British parties. The annual Chinese New Year reception hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary China Group was an event I never missed. It had been the venue for my first speech of the year. I was also a regular at breakfast meetings, luncheon discussions, and various seminars organized by diferent parties in the UK Parliament. Additionally, I attended all the events held by various political parties marking the Chinese New Year, with or without invitation. I often hosted events for political parties and members of parliament, and ofered to give speeches at the Parliament.

This chapter includes 3 of my speeches, 2 of which were delivered at the annual conferences of the Conservative Party and the Labour Party respectively, and 1 at the Chinese New Year reception hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary China Group in January 2019, which was also my last speech at the UK Parliament.
