冠词的位置

1 名词前

一般说来，不定冠词与定冠词位于一个名词或名词短语的最前面。

a European country 一个欧洲国家

the happiest time 幸福的时光

2 as/so/such...as...结构

1 冠词a/an 用于as/so...as...句式结构，一般置于as/so修饰的形容词之后。

I have never spent as delightful a time as this Sunday．我从未度过一个像这个星期天那么高兴的时刻。

2 冠词a/an用于such…as…句式结构，一般应置于such之后，形容词之前。

Are you able to squash all your furniture into such a small house？你能把所有家具放进这间小房子吗？

3 such/so...that...结构

冠词用于such后、形容词前，so修饰的形容词后。

Albert Einstein is such a great scientist that people throughout the world all re-spect him．阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦是一位伟大的科学家，全世界的人都尊敬他。

The teacher asked so hard a question that none of us could answer it．老师问了一个难题，我们都回答不上来。

4 too...（to...）结构

在too...to...结构中，冠词置于too修饰的形容词之后。

Maggie is too young a girl to be left by herself at home．马吉太小，不能把她单独留在家里。

5 rather，quite修饰的名词短语中

冠词在有rather，quite修饰的名词或名词短语中，位置比较灵活，主要有以下几种情况：

a rather/quite valuable suggestion

rather/quite a valuable suggestion

rather/quite valuable a suggestion

quite不修饰形容词，只修饰名词时，冠词只能置于quite后。

We found it quite a change when we moved to Hong Kong．我们搬到香港后，感觉生活变化很大。

另外，在quite/rather a few，quite/rather a little等短语中，由于a few，a lit-tle是固定短语，不可拆开变成a quite/rather few，a quite/rather little。

6 what，how引导的感叹句中

由what和how构成的感叹句中，冠词置于what后以及how修饰的形容词后。

What a splendid performance you gave us！你们的演出多么精彩呀！

How timely a rain we've got in so dry a season！在这样干燥的季节，这真是一场及时雨呀！

7 all, both，double等词之后

定冠词the应放在all，both, double，three times等词之后，名词之前。
