既破我斧，又缺我 斨 qiāng 。周公东征，四国是皇 。哀我人斯，亦孔之将。

既破我斧，又缺我锜。周公东征，四国是吪 。哀我人斯，亦孔之嘉。

既破我斧，又缺我 銶 qiú 。周公东征，四国是遒 。哀我人斯，亦孔之休。

With broken axe in hand

And hatchet, our poor mates

Follow our duke from eastern land;

We’ve conquered the four States.

Alas!Those who are not strong

Cannot come along.

With broken axe in hand

And chisel, our poor mates

Follow our duke from eastern land;

We’ve controlled the four States.

Alas!Those who do not survive!

Lucky those still alive.

With broken axe in hand

And halberd, our poor mates

Follow our duke from eastern land

We’ve ruled o’er the four States.

Alas!Those who are dead!

Lucky, let’s go ahead.

使破了我的斧子，又残缺了我的斨。

周公东征，四方得到匡正。

感叹我们这些百姓，也算是有幸。

使破了我的斧子，又残缺了我的锜。

周公东征，四方得到教化。

感叹我们这些百姓，运气不能算不好啊。

使破了我的斧子，又残缺了我的銶。

周公东征，从此四方得以稳定。

感叹我们这些百姓，就要见到光明。
