1 As the latest product of the“technological revolution”, the Internet has ushered in a new era of global information.

2 It allows scientists swift access to all the data and research findings in their fields available worldwide.

3 While there is a great deal of enthusiasm nowadays over the advantages of the Internet, its drawbacks should not be neglected.

4 Subversive and pornographic items can infiltrate the messages downloaded by people unfamiliar with the“web”.

5 Since the Internet became mainstream in the last century, its importance has become unassailable.

6 The spread of the Internet directly leads to people's sedentary lifestyle.

7 Computerisation has undermined the traditional position of labour.

8 No invention has received more praise and abuse than the Internet.

9 The internet is an invention which is second to none in terms of importance to our daily life.

1 The internet has been the catalyst of almost innumerable global changes.

2 Due to the extent of the Internet's influence on humankind, some people are advocating for the censorship of information found on the Net.

3 However, there are those who believe that such acts violate the people's right to get information and their freedom of speech.

4 Today, most people use the Internet to get all kinds of information and to express their views about any kind of issue.

5 People can participate in international polls or surveys in the convenience of their homes or offices.

6 Others can express their ideas or opinions by posting comments, writing blogs, publishing essays or creating their own websites.

7 Some groups have proposed that screening or filtering of Internet contents should be done.

8 For example, sensitive or controversial issues should be blocked from public access.

9 Others propose that the contents of websites should be rated.

10 Individuals have the right to acquire information, as well as the right to express their views and opinions freely.

11 The Internet has created international virtual communities and has allowed vast amounts of information to be available to all.

12 People must uphold its advantages and not abuse them.

1 The Internet has made many products and services available to more people. One very good example of how the Internet accomplished this is through online shopping.

2 This method of purchasing goods or services is preferred by a number of individuals who find it more convenient.

3 Still, there are people who argue that personally going to the mall is a more enjoyable experience.

4 People are able to save time, effort and money that they would otherwise use when travelling to and from the mall.

5 When shopping online, all a person has to do is use his keyboard and mouse.

6 Online shopping allows people to search for desired items and compare prices of products. Furthermore, shopping is not limited by physical boundaries.

7 The style of shopping depends on individual preferences.

8 However, the most important consideration is for a person to be satisfied with his purchases.
