嫩草绿凝烟(第四回)

嫩草绿凝烟,袅袅双飞燕。

洛水一条青,陌上人称羡。

远望碧云深,是吾旧宫殿。

何人仗忠义,泄我心中怨!

(1)

Spring!and the green of the tender grass,

Flushes with joy as the swallows pass;

The wayfarers pause by the rippling stream,

And their eyes with new born gladness gleam;

With lingering gaze the roofs I see

Of the palace that one time sheltered me.

(C. H. Brewitt-Taylor)

(2)

Fresh vernal grasses tint the morning haze;

Homing swallows lace the sky in pairs;

The River Luo,a stretch of darker green—

People cry in wonder at the scene.

But out beyond the depths of younder clouds

Stand palaces and courts that once were ours.

Who will stand for loyalty,take honor's part,

And ease the heavy wrongs upon my heart?

(Moss Roberts)

(3)

Green in the mist grows the tender grass,

Graceful and gentle do the swallows dance.

Clear is the water in the rippling stream

Which travelers praise when they softly pass.

With lingering gaze the roofs I see,

Of the palace that once sheltered me.

May someone with a noble mind

Help me vent the grievance in my heart.
