汉化英语是受汉语干扰或影响而说出或写出的英语 。 有些英语句子是从 汉语句子逐字翻译 （translate literally） 而来的 。 但英汉两种语言 ， 无论是在句法 、 语义 、 搭配 、 用法上都存在着很大差别 ， 并非一一对应 ， 所以 ， 这种照搬汉语结构 写出或说出的句子不是错误百出 ， 便是毫无地道可言 。 有些汉化英语句子尽管 在语法上可能没错 ， 但遣词造句和表达方式与标准英语的习惯用法不符 ， 即使 不妨碍理解原意 ， 也不宜使用 。 例 ：
原句 ： His body is very healthy.
修改 ： He̓s very healthy. （ 是汉语 “ 他身体很健康 ” 这句话的直译 。 英语中 body 属于 “ 个人隐私的东西 ”private thing， 用得不当 ， 听起来很令人尴尬 。）
原句 ： We are difficult to finish all this tonight.
修改 ： It̓ll be difficult for us to finish all this tonight. （ 是汉语 “ 今天晚上我们 很难把所有这一切做完 ” 这句话的直译 。 英语 We are difficult 表达不妥 ， 这句话 意思可用英语句式 it ＋ be ＋ adj. ＋ for ＋ sb. ＋ to ＋ do sth. 表达即可 。）
原句 ： His sick condition is much better. He is no longer dangerous.
修改 ： He̓s much better and out of danger now. （ 是汉语 “ 他病情好转 ， 不再危 险了 ” 这句话的直译 。 英语 His sick condition 表达不妥 。 说某人 be dangerous， 实际上是说他在某一方面构成对别人的威胁 ， 句子的意思与作者的本意 “ 脱离 危险了 ” 完全变了 。）
原句 ： He only said few sentences. He made us very disappointed.
修改 ： We were quite disappointed that he said only a few words. （ 是汉语 “ 他 只说了几句话 ， 使得我们很失望 ” 这句话的直译 。 英语 say a few sentences 表达 不妥 ，make someone disappointed 也很少用 。 这句话意思可用英语句式 sb. ＋ be＋ adj. ＋ that ＋ clause 表达即可 。）
原句 ： Recently she doesn̓t study well. All day she talks love.
修改 ： She hasn̓t been studying hard because she spends most of her time with her boyfriend. （ 是汉语 “ 最近她不好好学习 ， 整天谈情说爱 ” 这句话的直译 。“ 好 好学习 ” 的意思是 “ 努力学习 ” 应为 studying hard， 而不是 studying well， 更不是 good good study。 在后一句中把 “ 谈恋爱 ” 译成 talk love 是照汉语字面上逐词直 译的 。 汉语中的 “ 谈恋爱 ” 不是英语中的 talk love。 在特定的场合和上下文中可 以说 talk love， 比如男女两个人交谈 ， 一个人用略带诙谐的口气说 ： Enough of such things. Let̓s talk about something more interesting. Let̓s talk about love. （ 不谈 这件事了 ， 谈点有意思的事儿 ， 谈谈爱情吧 。） 即使如此 ， 这种说法也很少见 。）
原句 ： The chief reasons for the change have five points.
修改 ： There are five main reasons for the change. （ 是汉语 “ 变化的主要原因 有五点 ” 这句话的直译 。 用英语 there be 句式表达即可 。）
原句 ： Students doing part⁃time work have some advantages and disadvantages.
修改 ： There are some advantages and disadvantages for students doing parttime work. （ 是汉语 “ 学生打工既有优点也有缺点 ” 这句话的直译 ， 用英语 there be 句式表达即可 。）
原句 ： All of this should thank our government.
修改 ： We should thank our government for all of these. （ 是汉语 “ 这一切都要 感谢我们的政府 ” 这句话的直译 。 这句话意思可用英语句式 thank sb. for sth. 表达即可 。）
原句 ： The story vivid described a disabled girl how to become a successful writer.
修改 ： The story described vividly how a disabled girl became a successful writer. ／ The story described vividly a disabled girl who finally became a successful writer. （ 是汉语 “ 故事生动描绘了一个残疾女孩如何成为一位成功作家 ” 这句话的 直译 。 原句不符合英语句法的要求 ， 基本句式可改为 … describe ＋ how （ 宾语 从句 ） 或 … describe ＋ sb. ＋ who （ 定语从句 ）。）
原句 ： You eat me， drink me and ask me for money all the time.
修改 ： I offer you something to eat and something to drink and you， contrarily，ask me for money all the time. （ 是汉语 “ 你吃我 、 喝我 ， 一天到晚还向我要钱 ” 这 句话的直译 。 英语 eat me，drink me 表达显然不妥 。 可以说 eat banana， drink water， 但 “ 吃人 、 喝人 ” 的表达听起来令人畏惧 。 其实 ， 句中 “ 吃我 ” 本意并非指 “ 吃人 ”， 而是指 “ 吃我辛苦挣来的东西 ”。）
原句 ： He has lost his pen for a week.
修改 ： It has been a week since he lost his pen. （ 是汉语 “ 他已丢失钢笔一星 期了 ” 这句话的直译 。 谓语动词 lose 系非可持续性动词 ， 不可与表示一段时间 的时间短语 for a week 连用 。）
原句 ： My mother often criticizes my carelessness in doing things.
修改 ： My mother often criticizes me for my carelessness in doing things. （ 是汉 语 “ 母亲经常批评我干活粗心 ” 这句话的直译 。 这句话意思可用英语句式 criticize sb. for sth. 表达即可 。）
原句 ： Please give more valuable opinions.
修改 ： Any more opinions， please. （ 是汉语 “ 请多提宝贵意见 ” 这句话的直 译 。 该句句法结构没有问题 ， 但意思表达不妥 。 报告人通常在结束讲话时希望 听众 “ 多提宝贵意见 ”。“ 宝贵 ” 一词是报告人向听众所表示的一种敬意 ， 意思是 说 ： 您的建议会得到我的赏识 your opinions will be appreciated. 如果译成 valuable opinions， 恐怕没人敢提意见 ， 因为在别人看来 ， 至少对报告人而言 ， 提意见者 自以为 “ 他们的建议就是比别人的意见有价值 ”。）
通过以上汉化英语分析可见 ， 缺乏对英语单词的准确理解 ， 遣词造句时不 能遵循英语句子结构要求 ， 是汉化英语重要原因之一 。 要克服汉化英语现象 ， 首先要求学生在学习英语词汇时 ， 不能只满足于对单词的拼写 ， 及其所对应的 汉语意思的理解 ， 要吃透英语单词的本意及其用法 。 在遣词造句或把汉语译成 英语时 ， 不能逐字死译 ， 要注意英语的行文习惯 ， 注意单词的本意及其所要求的 句式 。 要善于使用平时在课堂所学到的短语搭配和句型 。 总之 ， 学会使用英语 基本句式 、 常用句型 ， 吃透英语单词的本意及其用法是避免汉化英语较为有效 的方法 。
当然 ， 汉化英语所涉及到的还有其它方面的原因 ， 其中重要的一个方面是 中西方文化差异所带来的语言表达差异 。 如汉语中的 “ 红白喜事 ”， 不是像有些 学生所写的 red and white happy things， 而是 weddings and funerals。 汉语中的 “ 壮如牛 ” 应是 as strong as a horse 而不是 as strong as a cow。 汉语中的 “ 望子成 龙 ” 如写成 long to see one̓s son become a dragon 就会让西方人感到惊讶 ， 因为在 西方人眼中 ，dragon 一词被认为是 “ 怪物 ” monster， 谁也不希望自己的孩子将来 成为 “ 怪物 ”。 本句应译成 wish one̓s son or daughter to be successful。 同样 ， 汉语 中的 “ 黄色电影 ”，“ 黄色书刊 ” 不是 yellow movies，yellow books， 这里的 “ 黄色 ” 不 是指的 “ 颜色 ”， 而是指 “ 肮脏 、 下流 、 淫秽 ” 之意 ， 可用英语 filthy，obscene，erotic，dirty，pornographic，blue 表示 。
通过以上例子不难看出 ， 要写出正确地道的英语 ， 了解中西方文化及其语 言表达上的差异是非常重要的 。
