Ladies and gentlemen，

Good afternoon！

On behalf of Hainan University， I want to congratulate all of you upon the success of the 10th CAFIC International Conference！ Your conference schedules are packed with inspiring speeches， enlightening forums， and rich paper presentations. I learned that this conference has made a number of new things by having different language sessions， including scholars from various fields， and providing lecture series. It is so wonderful that scholars are able to get together and exchange our thoughts on intercultural communication from the views of language teaching and learning， economics， trade，medical science， education， psychology， sociology， political science， information technology and engineering， and more.

This grand academic event is， as a matter of fact， an interdisciplinary effort that will definitely serve as a milestone in joint studies by social， natural， and technological scientists and professionals. For sure， it is good for the social development of Hainan and the country， and of course the humankind. In particular， I must thank you for offering such great learning opportunities to my faculty， staff， and students. Again， please accept my sincere appreciation！

I do not know if you have got a chance to walk around the green corners of our campus. You may find it is different with its simple， spacious designs. Every year， we host hundreds of local， national， and international meetings. It does not only bridge the University with the society but also function as a dynamic force for our University to progress with a vision. I hope this conference will broaden and enhance the cooperation between Hainan University， you and your institutions， which will definitely be mutually beneficial. I sincerely welcome you to come back and have future conferences on our campus！

I have heard that most of you will visit Haikou Volcanic Cluster Geopark tomorrow， and some of you will travel to Qionghai and Sanya for the hot springs， beaches，and waters. I hope you will forget the haze and cold in the northern cities and enjoy your stay in Hainan. Some of you have very busy schedules and must go back after the meeting. My best wishes to all of you， and I welcome you to come back for vacations time and again.
