Introduction ：Sports industry presents high degree of correlation with regional economic and social environment.The recent status of sports industry in China presents obvious gaps among different regions and different kinds of sports industry vary in the same region.Due to the fact of endowment and consuming conditions，different regions do not have to carry out all categories of sports industry.The purpose of this paper is to identify influential factors of various kinds of sports industry and taking these factors into account to select and develop regional advantageous sports industry.
Methods ：Regional advantageous sports industry is particular sports industry or industry group which has comparative and competitive advantage within certain scope in certain period of time.Through using the methods of literature review，expert questionnaire and statistics，the author analyzes the influential factors of different types of sports industry and based on the results，the author puts forwards the methods to select and cultivate regional sports industry.
Results ：It can be inferred that selecting regional advantageous sports industry should be follow the guidance of comparative advantage and competitive advantage theory.Because of the diversity aspects within areas and complex factors which influence the development of sports industry，it is hard to search for“one size fits all”model to select advantageous sports industry.However，it is effective and efficiency to exert the comparative advantages imbedded in the region itself.The procedures to select advantageous sports industry are as follows：
The author puts forward the strategy to cultivate and develop regional advantageous sports industry as follows：Basing on regional resource endowment to set scientific orientation direction of sports industry.It is supposed to select specific industry to form industrial advantageous，according to comparative advantages of region’s natural resources，such as technology，market dominance，funding，etc.，.Furthermore，it is useful to make suitable development mode and way through making good use of relevant industries and local conditions.
Optimizing environment condition of sports industry to improve competitiveness of regional advantages sports industry.Sports industry competitive is the key factors and guarantee for development of regional sports industry.It is of great significance to improve implementation capacity of sports products，increase production technology and business management level to develop regional advantageous sports industry.
Nurturing sports consuming market to increase demand of advantageous sports industry.Consumer’s votes have an important influence on developing regional advantageous sports industry.The sports industry policy is supposed not only to meet consumer demand，but to guide consumer demand and grasp this opportunity to further publicize the importance of physical fitness.Furthermore，training and standardized sports market will benefit to improve regional market demand as well as enhance sports industry.All in all，the strategy to cultivate and foster advantageous industry can be listed as follows：
Conclusion ：For a long time，comparative advantage theory is the main guiding theory of industry allocation，which proposes to maximize the efficiency of resources allocation，based on principle of comparative advantage.But the resource endowment is not necessarily equal to resources competitiveness.Porter’s competitive advantage theory emphasizes reality competitiveness of the same industry among different countries.It shows that efficient productivity of regional sports industry stems from comparative advantages，while real advantage of sports industry comes from competitive advantage.
The author puts forward that different regions are supposed to select advantageous sports industry，according to regional economic development stage and comparative advantages of regional factor endowments.When come to the strategy of cultivating regional advantageous sports industry，it is significant to follow the guidance of comparative advantage and competitive advantage theory.
