Preface

Jointly hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China，the 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee and China Sport Science Society，the 16th Asian Games Science Congress is organized by Guangzhou Sport University in the city of Guangzhou，10－12 October，2010.The theme of this Congress is“Asian Sport-Science and Development”.

More than 600 scientists from over 20 countries and regions will exchange their views and hold in－depth discussions over their research results in sport sciences.The Congress received totally 2，600 academic papers and accepted 691 of them after reviewal，which may largely indicate the current research directions of Asian Sport Science and cover most topics of sport research fields.We classified the papers into 21 categories ：

Sport Social Science ＆ Olympic Study；Sport Management ＆ Sport law；Sport Industry；Sport Media and Communication；Reform and Development of Physical Education；Comparative Study on Thoughts of Physical Education；Sport History；Leisure Sports and Healthy Lifestyle；Fitness－for－all and Health Promotion；Evaluation of National Fitness and Scientific Ways of Physical Exercises；Sport ＆ Nutrition；Sport ＆ Molecular Adaption；Prevention，Treatment and Rehabilitation of Sport Injury；Medical Supervision on Sport；Exercise－Induced Fatigue and Rehabilitation；Study on Sport Training Methods；Physical Training ＆ High Altitude Training；Supervision and Evaluation on Sport Training；Sport Technical Analysis；Psychological Factors in Training（Sport）and Competition ＆ Psychological Effect of Physical Exercise.

We expect that all participants will share with others their ideas and experiences in sport science research.We also expect to see deeper explorations be carried out on sport science through honest exchanges and free discussions.We do believe that this Congress will promote the development of Asian Sport Science and Technology and strengthen friendship and cooperation among scientists in this field.
