Introduction :Job motivation is very important for good performance because motivation is psycho cognitive process lead employers to goal orientation’s performance(mitchel & Larson).On the other hand two factor effects on job performance one is ability of individual for work and the other is existence of motivation.Therefore teachers can success if they have ability and appropriate motivation.Situation in organization of education can increase or decrease these factors for teachers.The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between job performance with job motivation in physical education teachers in high schools in ahvaz city.
Methods :The research methods of this study are descriptive survey and correlation.The samples were all of official physical educations teachers(70 women and 39 men)in high schools.The instrument was job performance questionnaire and job motivation questionnaire(Hakman and et al,1997).The reliability of them were reported to be satisfactory and validity of them were obtained relatively(r=0.94,r=0.87).
Results :Analyzing the purpose hypotheses at the p < 0.05 showed that there was significant relationship between job performance and job motivation.Also there were not significant differences in job performance and job motivation of physical education’s teachers in four regions of Ahvaz city.
Discussion/ Conclusion :Finding of this research was accordance with result of Alonso & Lewis(2001)and some other researches.So,based on the finding of this study,it is therefore recommended that principals of education pay more attention to physical educator’s needs,if organizations expect
