The Laiyang Hadrosaur Fauna is one of the most important Late Cretaceous dinosaur faunas in China.Abundant fossils of vertebrates, especially dinosaurs and dinosaur eggs, have been found from the Wangshi Group, Upper Cretaceous in Laiyang, Shandong.Hadrosaurs were the most diverse,abundant and representative animals in the Laiyang Hadrosaur Fauna.Based on the fossils excavated in Laiyang by the authors in recent years, this book focuses on the research history and the geological background of the Laiyang Hadrosaur Fauna, as well as the latest research progress on the members of hadrosauroids discovered in Laiyang.This includes the study on the interior structure of the nasal spine and reconstruct the cranial crest of Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus , the research on the anatomy and phylogeny of the newly discovered Laiyangosaurus youngi , and the analysis of the taphonomic modes of fossil-bearing layers in Laiyang.
