We are looking for an assistant for Prof. Smith's research project on campus sports activities. What is shown to us in the cartoon is the lively scene of the dragon boat race. As can be seen from the cartoon, two groups of players are racing dragon boats, while the banks of the river are crowded with people watching and cheering for the players. An elderly woman says to her husband happily, “Great! The dragon boat racing in our village is becoming more and more popular.” Obviously, what the cartoonist emphasizes is the inheritance and revival of our traditional culture.

In recent years, we have attached great importance to the revival and inheritance of traditional culture. Because we all know that once we lose our national cultures, we will lose the influence. In addition, the development of our economy and the enhancement of national strength also give us cultural confidence. Now, programs about traditional Chinese culture have appeared one after another, such as the Chinese Poetry Competition, National Treasure and so on. Besides, we have been very active in participating in world heritage and intangible heritage projects, and we have many successful applications for cultural heritage.

Chinese culture is the only ancient civilization in human history that has never been interrupted. It is an important element to guide and promote the development of our culture for thousands of years. We must attach importance to the protection and inheritance of traditional culture, for it is the foundation of our national development.
