吕布见了，弃了公孙瓒，便战张飞。飞抖擞精神，酣战吕布。连斗五十余合，不分胜负。云长见了，把马一拍，舞八十二斤青龙偃月刀来夹攻吕布。三匹马丁字儿厮杀。战到三十合，战不倒吕布。刘玄德掣双股剑，骤黄鬃马，刺斜里也来助战。这三个围住吕布，转灯儿般厮杀。八路人马，都看得呆了。吕布架隔遮拦不定，看着玄德面上，虚刺一戟，玄德急闪。吕布荡开阵角，倒拖画戟，飞马便回。

Seeing his new challenger, Lv Bu left his pursuit of Gongsun Zan and started to fight Zhang Fei. Zhang Fei was rapt in his duel with Lv Bu for more than fifty bouts with no advantage to either side. Then Guan Yu urged impatiently his horse to atack Lv Bu from the other side with his weighty green-dragon-moon-shape-sword. These three men fought together and formed a triangle. After thirty bouts, these two brothers still could not beat heroic Lv Bu.
Liu Bei worried about his two brothers’safety, he rushed out to join the batle with his double swords. All these three brothers circled around Lv Bu to atack him together like a revolving lantern. All the eight governors and their warriors gazed at such a batle in amazement. Lv Bu was brave but could not fight against these three brothers for long time so he tried to retreat. As Lv Bu pretended to atack Liu Bei, who was the weakest among these three brothers and dodged to one side to avoid him, a breach was opened. Lv Bu immediately escaped from the encirclement around him.
