1. dozen意为“一打，十二个；许多”，常见用法汇总如下：
与具体的数字连用时，不用其复数形式dozens；若后接名词，通常也无需使用介词of，比如：I bought two dozen bottles of wine.我买了24瓶酒。
dozen可用作量词，常用在搭配dozens of中，这时表达的不是具体的数量，而是描述“许多”，比如：There were dozens of people there.那里有许多人。
2.与dozen用法类似的词还有score“（大约）二十”，比如：a score of cars 约二十辆汽车；scores of boxes 大量的盒子。
