Before I knew it, I had gone from childhood to my adolescence.
With the ceremony celebrating the founding of the People's Ruplic of China, I passed through the ups and downs of youth.
On May 8th, 1949, Dongyang was liberated by the People’s Liberation Army （PLA）.I was not yet 15 years old then, and had no ideas about politics or societal development, nor the Communist Party or the PLA.
Later, we held a general meeting, performed Yangge dances （One of the Chinese traditional dances） and celebrated the liberation in Hengdain.Our family was given land and houses during the land reform.I saw smiles on the faces of the adults and thought things would get better from then on.
