Abstract: The rise of new media has greatly changed the way of human information dissemination. Poor information dissemination is detrimental to China's international image. It is imperative to strengthen translation governance in the new media era and build a strong translation team for foreign communication. This study found that in the context of new media, translators should improve their “sense of legal responsibility” and“legal awareness”, take the attitude of “legal responsibility” for translation, practice hard work, stand firm, and express themselves rigorously. Know each other and know yourself to ensure the quality of translation and improve the efficiency of dissemination. In the era of new media, only by translating according to the “law” can Chinese stories spread for a long time.
