★ Probably. I think that people’s hobbies and interests mainly derive from their needs and requirements in life, and those needs and requirements may change with time. For example, children are usually interested in pictures, songs and dances because they need something that could stimulate their senses directly. However, when they grow older, their interests may be transferred to something more abstract and profound, like literature and arts. That is to say, as time passes by, with the accumulation of knowledge and experience, hobbies and interests may be shifted from one thing to another.
★ No, I don’t think so. Maybe the amount of time you spend on hobbies or interests may change with time, but not the hobbies or interests themselves. ★ Yes, our hobbies and interests can well reflect our personality. For instance, if you are interested in quite and indoor activities like reading or painting, maybe you are the reversed, shy and quiet type of person. However, if your hobbies include the outdoor and dynamic activities such as hiking, partying or doing sports, you would probably be an athletic and outgoing person.
★ Not always. Hobbies and interests don’t necessarily reflect our personality. A quite and shy person may be interested in energetic and dynamic activities like sports and dancing, while quiet and static activities such as stamp collecting and electronic gaming may also be the hobbies of an outgoing person.
