常考 v. 讨厌,憎恶 :to detest thoroughly; abhor , to regard with extreme dislike and hostility

近义 abhor, despise, detest, execrate, hate, loathe

举例 All the teachers abominate cheating in examinations.

常考 v. 大量;盛产 :to be great in number or amount

近义 bristle, crawl, flow, overflow, pullulate, swarm, teem

举例 Venice abounds in famous hotels.

abrade [ ə'breɪd ]

常考1 v. 磨损,擦伤 :to rub or wear away especially by friction; erode

常考 adj. 削减的;删节的 :an abridged book, play etc has been made shorter but keeps its basic structure and meaning

abrogate [ 'æbrəgeɪt ]

常考 v. 废除,取消(法令、习俗等) :to abolish , do away with, or annul, especially by authority

举例 The next prime minister could abrogate the treaty.
