关于雅思考试当天

26 考场回放。

雅思口语考试时间比较灵活,如果是周四笔试,正常口语考试是当天下午或第二天上、下午。如果是周六笔试,那么口语考试时间有可能是当天下午或第二天、第三天上、下午。具体考试时间在考试前两天雅思报名网站上会有详细说明,偶尔遇到口语考试时间有调整时,考生一般都会提前收到通知的。

考试当天需要携带雅思考试报名时使用的有效证件。如果考试前身份证件丢失,请及时联系雅思考试中心,电话:010-62798811(全国雅思中心电话)。

至少提前30分钟到达考场门外等候,可以读一些口语答案让自己放松,调整好状态。可以念本书第六章的答案。

进考场时不要敲门。当前一个考生离开考场后,考官可能正在评分,也可能在稍微休息,考生不要敲门打扰,到时考官会主动为考生开门。

进考场时,不要带手机、钱包、随身听等,以免引起考官认为考生有录音的嫌疑。

考官会问Do you have a mobile phone with you? 那么一定提前想好自己的手机当时在哪里,然后用英文告诉考官。

穿着一定要体面、整洁。最好穿平时最喜欢的服装。穿着得体,让人看上去首先对自己有一种好感。

坐姿要端正,腰板挺直;谈话要有力度,对自己充满自信。

在考场上要保持平稳心态。当考官问问题时,考虑5秒钟左右就应该回答。若不会,应该委婉地说:“I really don’t know much about it, but I think...”或“I haven’t thought about it, but I guess...”。试图稍微作答,不要一点儿信息也不给。

考试结束时,考官会说“This is the end of the test.”。考完试之后,尽量不要在考场附近和别人谈论口语话题,这也是雅思考试中心的规定。

特别注意:有可能有监控录像。

27 考场求助。

在考场上也会有意外,这时考生可以向考官求助。比如:

* 没有听清楚

如果你确定是没有听清楚,那么可以要求考官重复。

如果是不懂考官的意思,可以要求考官解释一遍,但不能说成“重复”,否则,还是不懂。

* 对这个话题不了解

你可以表示自己不了解,但是要从外行的角度发表观点,这样的答案依然是可接受的。

* 感到有点儿紧张

尽量不紧张,但是如果实在紧张得控制不住,有几种方法可以帮助你放松。

忌讳说:I’m nervous.

因为考官就算嘴上不说,心里也会说:Everybody says so.(算了吧,你都说出来了,说明你很老练。)

特别注意

* 有人习惯用so,不过Hallie建议用consequently,这个词既可用在作文里,也可以用于口语。

* would比will要缓和,could比can要恳切。

* 少用You know,因为考官不清楚你需要说的内容,而需要你告诉他们。

* 禁用That’s all. That’s over. 当语速放慢、音调下降的时候,表示你的话快结束了。

* 少用I think,要用I believe,I insist等。

* 考官会问考生ID card,可以回答:Sure. Here you go. 不要说Of course,这样能够显出有礼貌,因为Of course在这里有挑衅的含义。

28 复议,把握有多大?

很多考生觉得“我口语很好”,但是考试结果却令人不满意。这有可能是下述原因:

原因1:平时的模拟评测不专业

所以自己会误以为很好,其实已经偏离了方向。记住:“交流”不等于“交谈”。

原因2:考场发挥不好

这个也有可能,所以你需要好好总结一下。有可能听力水平影响了口语发挥。

原因3:考官判定有误

这种情况很少。如果你确实感觉是这样,可以申请复议。

29 雅思口语考试禁忌。

* 不可谈论政治。

* 不可谈论宗教。

* 不可对残杀或吃野生动物表示赞同。

* 不可有种族歧视。许多考生因为对语言不熟悉,经常把黑人说成negro, 实际上这个词现在有歧视的意思。可以用black来替代。

* 不可有性别歧视。

While this may be a good way to relax, this will not allow you to be fully reenergized. When people ask me how to relax, my best remedy is to tell them to take a two-week vacation. The reason why I say something so extreme is that these are people that do not know how to relax on a regular basis. These are people that get up in the morning and start checking their e-mails. When they come home at night they bring their work computer home and continue to work. They really want to achieve personal success so they keep working and working all day and all night.

I think the best relaxation method is to meditate in a quiet place. I can experience a brilliant moment of myself. I will find ways to mentally celebrate my success. In this way, I can boost my self-esteem and find my place of triumph in the midst of the madness. Unfortunately, my parents forbad me to skate on ice for I fell into a hole dug by fishermen, and I almost lost my life. I didn’t have any chance to skate until I entered university where I could skate in the stadium. Skating has become a way for me to recover from tiredness and release my pressure. I have made friends with those who also enjoy this sport. We always have a get-together after we finish skating.
