结论

在本体论的意义上，需要提倡文化的研究范式，与社会的研究范式形成互补。因为社会的研究范式忽略了社会运行中的“看不见的手”——文化编码体系。本章主要通过对“文化”概念在人类学中的演变之探讨，思考以“文化”作为核心概念的相关人类学研究范式，进而在与社会学之“社会”研究范式比较的基础上，提出在人类研究中“文化”与“社会”的波粒二象性的理解。虽然社会学的研究中不乏“文化编码”的探讨，如符号互动理论、拟剧理论等，但是仍然需要为“文化”的概念及其研究正名。一些人类学家焦虑于“文化”概念的被滥用和庸俗化倾向，但是从另一方面来看，文化概念具有广泛的人类和社会现象的普适性和包容性，应该提炼出这一特性的学术内涵。文化编码具有时间的三重性特征：①过去已经形成的文化编码作为人们行为的基础；②文化编码在现时人们行为中不断进行动态结构化调整；③现时的文化编码又是未来人们行为的基础，并帮助人们理解过去。

此外，文化的互向性特征表现为人们创造了文化编码，又被文化编码所创造。文化编码的创造与被创造都遵循着自组织的法则，并建构起多重的实存与虚拟的人类生活世界。如果注意到实践理论的文化观，我们可以把伯格（P.Berger）的名言“社会是人类的产物；社会是一客观现实；人是社会的产物” ^[16] 改造为：

文化是人类的产物；文化是一表征性现实（representative reality）；人是文化的产物。

这就是人类“化身”的文化——“观乎人文以化成天下”。
