Foreword

This code is prepared by China Railway Tunnel Group Co.，Ltd.in cooperation with other involved organizations according to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO ［2008］No.105 issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development（MOHURD）of the People'sRepublicof China-"Notice onPrintingand Distributing'the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2008（2nd Batch）'".

In preparing this code，the development team completed the draft of this code to be submitted for approval based on wide and extensive investigations and studies， experiences from practices，suggestions of professionals，and advanced international codes and advanced foreign standards and finally submitted it to Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development for review and approval.

This code consists of 20 chapters and 2 appendixes，covering:general provisions，terms，basic requirements，construction preparations，construction survey，geological prediction，open channels，open tunnels and tunnel portal sections，excavation，muck loading，unloading and transportation，supporting，water curtain system，shaft construction，grouting，Ventilation，dust control，compressed-air supply，water supply and power supply，drainage，shaft equipment and pipeline installation，paving and plugging，monitoring and measurement，safety，environment and health，project delivery and acceptance.

The provisions printed in bold type are mandatory ones and must be implemented strictly.
