Basicrequirements

3.0.1　Electrical equipment for crane shall be installed in accordance with approved design and manufacturer's technical documents.

3.0.2　The transportation and storage of electrical equipment for crane shall comply with the manufacturer's technical documents.

3.0.3　Equipment and devices used shall be accompanied with certificates of conformity.The equipment shall have a nameplate.Upon arrival at the site，these equipment and devices are subject to inspection as follows：

1　The package shall be intact and the seals well sealed.

2　Unpacking inspection.The equipment and devices shall be checked to ensure that their specifications comply with the design requirements，and that all the accessories and spare parts are complete.

3　The manufacturer's technical documents shall be complete.

4　Appearance inspection shall be performed to ensure that the equipment is free of damage，deformation，and rust.

3.0.4　Safety measures shall be taken for installation.

3.0.5　The civil work associated with installation of the electrical equipment for crane shall comply with the following requirements：

1　The construction quality of these buildings （structures）shall meet relevant regulations in the current national standard GB/T 50300 Unified Standard for Constructional Quality Acceptance of Building Engineering. Special requirements on the equipment and design，if any，shall be satisfied as well.

2　Prior to installation of the electrical equipment，the following conditions shall be met：

1）Water-resistant treatment of the ceiling above the crane shall pass the acceptance.

2）Positions of the reserved mounting holes for trolley line supports on the concrete beam，embedded parts and reserved hole for tension device for suspended soft cable terminal should be correct.The holes shall be unblocked and embedded parts securely fixed.

3）Finish and decoration of buildings （structures） shall be completed prior to installation of trolley line.

3.0.6　Non-electrified metal parts of the crane's electrical equipment such as the framework，steel tubes，and trolley line supports，shall be applied with anti-corrosion paint or galvanized.

3.0.7　Fasteners used for installation，except anchor bolts，shall all be galvanized.

3.0.8　An insulated crane shall be provided with triple insulation，i.e.，insulation between the hook and slip wheel，between the hoisting mechanism and trolley frame，and between the trolley frame and crane cart.Under normal temperature，the resistance of each insulation measured with the 1 000V tramegger shall be higher than or equal to 1MΩ.When the crane is not operating，the induced voltage on the trolley frame shall not exceed the safe voltage value （36V）.

3.0.9　Grounding of the non-electrified metalparts of crane shallcomply with the following requirements：

1　If a grounded slip connector is installed，it shall reliably contact with the rails or the grounding trolley line.

2　When the driver's cab is connected by the bolt with the body of a crane，electrical bonding must be made and shall be at least two points.

3　The bonding should use multi-strand soft copper wire with a sectional area no less than 16mm ² and the two crimping terminals shall be fixed by galvanized bolts.Where round steel or flat steel is used for bonding，diameter of the round steel shall not be less than 12mm and the width and thickness of the flat steel section shall not be less than 40mm and 4mm respectively.
