Foreword

This code is a revision of GB 50256-1996 Code for Construction and Acceptance of Electric Device of Crane Electrical Equipment Installation Engineering made by the China Electricity Council and State Nuclear Power Engineering Company（SNPEC）in cooperation with the organizations concerned，according to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO ［2009］No.88 issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development（MOHURD）of the People's Republic of China-"Notice on Printing and Distributing'the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2009'".

In the process of revision，the revision panel summarized new requirements for and relevant scientific research and field practice experience in construction and acceptance of electric device of crane since GB 50256-1996 Code for Construction and Acceptance of Electric Device of Crane Electrical Equipment Installation Engineering was implemented，and collected wide comments from interests concerned.

The code consists of 7 chapters：general provisions， terms，basic requirements，installation of trolley line，slip connector and suspended soft cable，distribution，electrical equipment and protective device，and check and acceptance of work.

As compared with the former edition，the following revisions are made herein：

1.Two chapters，namely，"Terms"and"Basic Requirements"，are added.

2.The scope of application is extended from construction and acceptance of newly installed electrical equipment rated 0.5kV and below and trolley line rated 3kV and below for various types of cranes and electrical hoists to those rated 10kV and below.Higher voltage class poses higher requirements on the construction techniques and indicators，as specified in this code.

The provisions printed in bold type are mandatory ones and must be implemented strictly.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China is in charge of administration of this code and explanation of its mandatory provisions，China Electricity Council responsible for its routine management，and China Electric Power Research Institute is in charge of explanation of specifc technical contents.All relevant organizations are kindly requested to sum up and accumulate your experiences in actual practices in the process of implementing this code.The relevant opinions and advice，whenever necessary，can be posted or passed on to to State Nuclear Power Engineering Company（Address:Building No.2， No.888 Tianlin Road， Minxing District，Shanghai.Postcode 200233）.
