Foreword

According to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO ［2012］ No. 5 issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development(MOHURD)of the People's Republic of China—"Notice on Printing and Distributing'the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2012'"，this code is compiled and formulated by Electronic Engineering Standard Quota Station of China Electronics Standardization Institute and The 8th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation in conjunction with relevant work units.

During the process of compiling and formulating，the compiling group has conducted extensive investigation and research on the overall requirements for optical cable plants in China and optical cable production processes and production of the determination of auxiliary facilities etc.，according to optical cable production unit for optical cable production technology for many years of experience，and with reference to relevant standards. After investigation，this code was finalized in the end after many amendments and revisions.

The code consists of 6 chapters，covering:general provisions，terms，manufacturing process for optical cables，design of process of optical cables plant，choice for equipments and lay，commonality establishment and requirement of environment.

The provisions printed in bold type are mandatory ones and must be implemented strictly.

This code is under the jurisdiction of ，and its mandatory provisions are interpreted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is in charge of the routine management，while The 8th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation is in charge of the explanation of specific technical contents. All relevant organizations are kindly invited to summarize and accumulate their experiences when implementing this code.
