Michael Olden : Ouch!
Police: Have you hurt yourself?
O : Yes. I fell off my bicycle and hurt my arm.
P: Don't worry. Let me help you. Roll up your sleeve and let me have a look.
O : Ouch! I can't move my right arm.
P: Oh! It's bleeding! We have to bandage your arm. Hold on. Everything will be all right.
O : Maybe I've broken my arm.
P: I'll take you to the hospital. Tell me your name and the phone number of your family, please. We'd better inform your family.
O : My name is Michael Olden. Just call my wife. Her phone number is 17701343951.
P: (To his mobile phone) Hello! Is that Mrs. Olden?
Mrs. Olden : Yes. Who is calling?
P: This is the patrol police of Yuetan Police Station. Your husband fell off his bike and hurt his arm. We're now on the way to the People's Hospital. Please come over to the hospital at once.
Mrs. Olden : Oh. Thank a lot.
(After medical treatment)
O : I'm feeling much better now.
P: Glad to hear that.
(Mrs. Olden arrived)
Mrs. Olden : Oh, poor Mike! Is your arm still hurting?
O : Not a lot after the medical treatment the doctor gave me.
Mrs. Olden : What did the doctor say?
P: The doctor said Mr. Olden's right arm was just dislocated instead of fractured and he had put the bone back into the joint. Mr. Olden needs to have a good rest and avoid carrying heavy objects.
Mrs. Olden : It's very kind of you to help us, officer.
P: My pleasure. Now I have to leave him to you, Mrs. Olden.
Mrs. Olden : OK. Thank you very much for your kindness.

奥尔登太太：哎呀！你还疼吗？
奥：医生帮我治疗后不怎么疼了。
奥尔登太太：医生是怎么说的？
警：医生说奥尔登先生右胳膊脱臼了，好在没有骨折，他已经将关节复位。回家后注意多休息，不要提重物。
奥尔登太太：多亏您帮忙，谢谢您，警官先生。
警：别客气。现在我就把他交给您了。
奥尔登太太：好的，多谢了。
救助突发心脏病的外国游客
Mrs. Johnson : Excuse me, officer. Please come and help us!
Police: What can I do for you?
Mrs. Johnson : There's something wrong with my husband.
Police: Oh! He looks rather pale. Sweating, too.
Mrs. Johnson : He said he has severe pain in his chest.
Mr. Johnson : I…I feel like I can't…breathe.
Police: Is it a heart attack?

Police: Would you like me to inform the consulate (or: the embassy) of your country?
Mrs. Johnson : Yes, please. Thank you very much.
约翰逊太太：对不起，警官先生。请过来帮帮我们。
警察：我能帮您做些什么？

（在救护车上）

F 1: Can I take the elevator?
P: No! Use the stairway!
(More foreigners come rushing to the exit)
P: No pushing! Don't force your way out! Exit one by one!
Foreigner 2: Help! Help! I'm on the balcony!
P: Stay there and wait for the rescue! Don't go inside! Don't jump down! It's too high!
F 2: Oh! Look! A fire engine is coming!
外国人：着火啦！着火啦！
警察：我是警察！别慌，听我指挥！
外国人1：救命！救命！
警：紧急出口在走廊尽头，在你的左侧！
外1：烟太大了！（开始咳嗽）
警：用湿毛巾捂住鼻子和嘴！趴下！向紧急出口爬！
外1：能乘电梯吗？
警：不行！走楼梯！
（又有许多外国人拥向出口）
警：不要挤！不要往外挤！一个一个地出去！
外国人2：救命！救命！我在阳台上呢！
警：别动！等待救援！别进屋！不要往下跳！太高了！
外2：哇！看！消防车来了！
Foreigner : Earthquake! Earthquake!
Police: Stay calm and follow my directions!
F : What shall we do now?
P: There's a danger of aftershocks. You must evacuate! I'll guide you to a safer place.
F : Wait! I must go back to get something.
P: Don't take anything with you! The top priority is your life!

P: The park nearby. That's a designated evacuation area.
F : Oh! The building is collapsing!

F : Where was the epicenter?
P: A small village 60 kilometers to the west of this city.
