Academic Camps
Conflict Resolution Youth Summit

The Conflict Resolution Youth Summit (CRYS) is a summer program for high schoolers that explores social and political action, global conflict (矛盾), social justice, and leadership. Students who take part in it will learn through labs, field trips, workshops, and by communicating with experts in the field. Students will develop skills in leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-cultural awareness.

George Mason Debate Institute

The George Mason Debate Institute tries very hard to offer the most individual attention of any debate (辩论) camp. A teacher only teaches a few students and the extremely active teachers allow us to meet the individual needs of every debater. We are proud of our ability to conduct our instruction according to the needs of individual students. The camp has a focus on debate as an educational and communicative activity. As part of our special educational approach, students will get to hear from topic experts on important public policy issues. Our guest speaker series is certainly the most special part of our camp.

Washington Journalism and Media Conference

George Mason University is the host of the Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC), and each summer welcomes high school student leaders from all over the country as National Youth Correspondents. The teachers have developed the WJMC curriculum (课程) to suit the needs of the nation’s most gifted future leaders in the field.
