Written with our youngest guests in mind, this show is a chance for children of all ages to be introduced to the wonders of astronomy. Guests communicate with the sky in the planetarium (天文馆) through dance, song and storytelling.
TIME: 10:30 am—10:45 am
Focusing on astronomy without the help of any instrument, The Sky Tonight shows guests how the stars can be used for the movement of the ships and how to find constellations (星座) and planets. We talk about current events that can be seen with eyes and also look at some objects that can only be seen through a telescope.
TIME: 11:00 am—11:40 am
Cut, paste, and bend to build a light-up piece of paper art or card. During this 120-minute event, we will learn basic electronics concepts and paper art skills. At the end of the event, people will bring their creation home.
TIME: 1:00 pm—3:00 pm
In celebration of the first moon landing, guests will learn more about the Apollo Program and the hard work that led to the first steps on the moon, when they are exploring the original moon landing sites.
TIME: 4:00 pm—4:30 pm
In this event, our planetarium speaker will focus in depth on astronomical topics that were carefully chosen. See today’s schedule for more details. Due to the private and personal nature of the Willard Smith Planetarium no late seating is allowed.
