7. Let beauty and ugliness get along with one another and the wise and the stupid be favored with no discrimination.

好丑心太明，则物不契 ^① ；贤愚心太明，则人不亲 ^② 。须是内精明而外浑厚，使好丑两得其平，贤愚共受其益，才是生成的德量。

The harmony of things cannot be reached if we unduly distinguish them with beauty and ugliness. The intimacy of interpersonal relationship cannot be brought about if we overly discriminate between the wise and the stupid.
