There was a lot of rice, and there were a lot of people. A lot of people live on that farm because there are a lot of things to do every day.

Yes, there were. That farmer has a lot of fruit trees on his farm, but I can’t remember the names of all of them. There was a lot of rice, too.

Was the farmer kind to you?
Lee
Yes, he was. The farmer was very kind to us. Now I know a lot of things about farms.

How about your writing at school? Was your writing correct?
Lee
Some of it was correct, but some of it wasn’t. I don’t know how to spell some of the new words. Some of the new words were not easy to spell. Some of the new words were very difficult.
Daddy
I see. Well, if you don’t know how to spell some words, you can ask me.
Lee
Thanks a lot. This afternoon I have to finish writing about all the things on the farm. My teacher says I have to finish it at home.
Daddy
Well, I think I can look at your books now. Come on… finish your dinner. Let’s go and look at your books.
