The Shepherd and the Sheep

A shepherd drove his sheep to a wood. Suddenly, he saw a large oak full of acorns . He wanted to pick up some acorns for his sheep, so he took off his coat and spread it under the tree. Then he climbed up the oak and shook the acorns down as hard as he could. The sheep rushed to eat the acorns, stepped on the coat and ruined it.

When the shepherd came down from the tree and saw this, he cried angrily, “You ungrateful creatures! You provide your wool to make clothes for other people, but you destroy the clothes of the man who feed you!”
