❶You get a Iot more than what you pay for.是销售上不可或缺的一句英语,有什么话比让客户觉得占了大便宜更能满足他的心理呢?此处的a Iot more是“多很多”之意,what you pay for是“您所付的钱能买到的东西”,what在语法上称为省略先行词的关系代词,表示“那个东西”或“那件事”,英语中常常使用,不可不会。
❷I can't authorize that big of a price reduction.这句话里的that big of(那样大幅度的……)是最纯正的美国英语,中国人很容易误用so这个字,当然so big(那样大)也正确,但使用上是形容某种东西的大,例如:The tabIe is so big.(桌子好大啊!)与此处用法无关。在这里也不能用such big of。
