Do you agree or disagree with the following statement？Video games are completely worthless to children.

2.具体列举游戏的危害，比如导致孩子们不专心学习、不爱运动、不与人交流等，对孩子们的身心发展都有害。
I agree. You’ve heard people sometimes say video games are good for children’s brain development, well…I think it’s a lie. There are a lot of other activities that help children, activities that are not addictive. The problem with video games is that they give children so much instant gratification that they don’t want to do anything else that requires hard work. Even if they are not playing, they think of it all the time. That’s why so many students can’t concentrate in class. What’s worse, since children can get so much fun out of video games, they don’t go out to play sports or communicate with people around them. It’s like video games are the most important thing in life. That’s really scary.
我同意。有时候你会听人说，电子游戏对孩子的大脑发育有好处，我觉得这是个谎言。有很多其他活动可以帮助孩子发育，但是不会让他们上瘾。电子游戏的问题是，它给了孩子太多的即刻满足感，以至于任何其他需要付出努力的事情他们都不想去做了。即便孩子们不玩，他们也会时时刻刻都想着玩，这就是很多学生上课无法专注的原因。更糟糕的是，因为电子游戏给他们这么多乐趣，孩子们不出去运动，也不去和身边的人交流了。电子游戏好像成了他们生活里最重要的事情，这真的很可怕。
1.instant gratification即刻满足感；及时行乐（与之相反的是delayed gratification，即延迟享乐，意思就是能够做事专注，持续努力，不为一些即刻的奖励所分心，最后获得更大的成就，例如升学、工作、婚姻等）
2.concentrate in class上课专注
1.孩子没有自控能力，如果家长不管，那孩子会把所有时间都用于打游戏。
2.因为总想着游戏，孩子们在上课时也很难保持专注。
I agree that video games are harmful to children because video games are very addictive. If parents are not watching, children would play video games all day long at home. They will not do their homework or go out to play sports or communicate with anybody around them. Video games get all their attention. And when they go to school, all they think of is video games, all they talk about is video games. No matter how hard teachers try to make the classes interesting, children will not learn because nothing could possibly make them happier than playing video games. Study just seems so boring to them. I really think video games are ruining our children.
我同意电子游戏对孩子有害的观点，因为电子游戏很容易让人上瘾。如果家长不看着孩子的话，他们会在家里玩一整天。他们不会去做作业、出去运动或者和周围任何人交流。电子游戏吸引了他们所有的注意力。并且当他们去学校的时候，他们想的都是电子游戏，他们谈论的也都是电子游戏。不管老师多么努力地让课堂生动有趣，学生们也不会学习，因为对他们来说不可能有任何事比玩电子游戏更令他们快乐了。学习对他们来说非常无聊。我真的认为电子游戏正在毁掉我们的孩子。
