I would say it’s the parents because where your parents come from really determines how far you can go in your education. Financially, if your parents can afford to send you to a private school, you definitely have a head start compared to those who go to public schools. And you have a better shot at applying to those top universities. In terms of your values and world views, your parents’educational backgrounds also have a huge influence on how you deal with people and things, and that goes into pretty much every aspect of your future life. So I tend to think parents play the most important role in a kid’s education.
