1 不定冠词通常置于名词或名词修饰语之前 。 但需注意以下情况 ：
（1）不定冠词位于such，what，many，half之后。
=I have never seen such an animal.我从来没有见过这样的动物。
= Many a man is fit for the job.很多人适合这份工作。
（2）当名词前的形容词被副词as， so， too， how， however， enough修饰时，不定冠词应放在形容词之后。
=It's so short a time. 那是如此短的一段时间。
=I think it's too long a distance. 我认为距离太远。
注意： 当quite，rather前有形容词时，不定冠词放其前后均可。
=They found he was a quite/quite a kind man. 他们发现他是一个很和善的人。
=It's a rather/rather a beautiful picture. 这是一幅相当漂亮的图片。
2 定冠词的位置
定冠词通常位于名词或名词修饰语之前，但放在all，both，double，half，twice，three times等之后，名词之前。
= All the students in the class went out. 班里所有的学生都出去了。
= Both the students are listening to the teacher. 两名学生都在听老师讲话。
1 冠词巧记口诀
名词是秃子，常要戴帽子。可数名词单，需用a或an.
辅音前用a，元音前用an.若为特指时，则需用定冠。
复数不可数，泛指the不见。碰到代词时，冠词均不见。
2 定冠词the巧记口诀
特指双熟悉，明确人与物。
世上独无二，序数最高级。
某些专有名，习语及乐器。
六有与六无，前用定冠词。
说明：
（1） 特指双熟悉，明确人与物 ：用于指谈话双方都明确所指的人或事物。
（2） 世上独无二，序数最高级 ：用于序数词和形容词最高级前，表示世界上独一无二的事物。
（3） 某些专有名，习语及乐器 ：指由普通名词构成专有名词或表示西洋乐器时，名词前要加the.
（4） 六有与六无，前用定冠词 ：有水无湖、有球无星、有山无峰、有独无偶（欧）、有族（足）无球（运动）、有文无章、学而不专。
①有水无湖：海、洋、海湾、河等，都用the；单个湖不用the（但多个湖用the）。例如：the red sea（红海），the Pacific Ocean（太平洋），the Persian Gulf（波斯湾），the Yangtze River（长江），the Great Lakes（五大湖），Lake Erie（伊利湖）。
②有球无星：地球、月亮前加the；行星前不加the.
③有山无峰：the Huangshan mountain（黄山），Mount Everest（珠穆朗玛峰）。
④有独无偶（欧）：独一无二的事物，如the earth，the moon，the sun用the；七大洲前不加the：Europe（欧洲），Africa（非洲），Asia（亚洲），North America（北美洲），South America（南美洲），Antarctica（南极洲），Oceania（大洋洲）。
⑤有族（足）无球（运动）：表示种族的名词前加the，例如：the Indians（印第安人）；球类运动前不加the，例如：play baseball（打棒球），play basketball（打篮球）。
⑥有文无章：历史性的文件前加the；小说等的章节不用the.例如：the constitution（宪法）；Chapter One（第一章）。
⑦学而不专：学校放在词组前面时加the；专有名词放在词组前面时不加the.例如：the university of Fudan（复旦大学），Fudan University （复旦大学）。
3 零冠词的用法口诀
下列情况免冠词，代词限定名词前，
专有名词不可数，学科球类三餐饭，
复数名词表泛指，四季星期月份前，
颜色语种和国名，称呼习语和头衔。
