四、安全气囊

This vehicle has an airbag for the driver as a supplement to the seat belt restraint system.The airbag is mounted in the steering wheel.It inflates in higher speed frontal impacts to provide improved protection the driver.

Relying on the airbag alone could lead to more severe injuries in a collision.The airbag is not a complete restraint system and does not provide restraint to the lower body in frontal collision，nor does it provide any restraint in side or rear collision or rollovers.This airbag does not qualify as a passenger car passive restraint system.Always wear the seat belt.

The seat belt system is designed to protect you in many types of collision.The airbag deploys only in frontal collision.And it will not deploy in collision at slow speed.But even in collision where the aidbag does work，you need the seat belt to keep you in the right position for the airbag to protect you properly.

Ignoring the AIRBAG light in your instrument panel could mean you won’t have the airbag to protect you in a collision.If the light does not come on，stays on after you start the vehicle，or if it comes on as you drive，have the airbag system checked right away.
