We were (48) low on cash ourselves, but…well, sometimes (49) giving from our need instead of our abundance is (50) just what we need to do!

but前面说We were low on cash,这里的low指的就是“(数量、水平或价值)少的”,所以,low on cash的意思就是“缺钱,钱少”。 but后面这句话主要的部分是give from our need instead our abundance,字面意思就是“从我们的需要里给,而不是从我们的富余里给”。

All the kids (51) declared something they could do away with for the week.

实际上declare的英文意思是to state sth. firmly and clear,中文意为“果断且明确地表示”。

gCD6/RfeTyiA5tiIjzmEMJWCJ/Lgyk+m3Iswr/JmYMaWI8ODiAFg7DQ/jHLIjZhO
