Computer Overview

A computer is a computing machine used for electronic high speed calculation.It has the following functions:numerical calculation,logical calculation and memory-storage.The computer is a modern intelligent electronic device,which can process the massive data automatically and rapidly with the procedures.It consists of hardware system and software system.

The application of computers has penetrated into every field of society,impelling the social development.Scientific Computing:Scientific computing is the earliest application.The computer has the ability of high-speed operation,large storage capacity and continuous operation,by which we can solve various scientific calculation problems which cannot be solved only by people.Translation:Machine translation eliminates the estrangement between different characters and languages.Multimedia:Integrating text,audio,video,animation,graphics and images and other media has become a new thing named multimedia.Computer

Network:We overcome the obstacle between the time and space in communication by computer network.

There are many market needs due to the powerful function of computer,so the computer should realize miniaturization and networking,becoming intelligent and giant in the future.
