本专业旨在培养德才兼备、具有基本汉语能力、了解中国文化、掌握本专业的基本理论、基本知识和基本技能，能够参与并促进中国与其所在国之间友好合作关系的工程开发型人才和友好文化交流使者。
本专业的培养目标是：具有扎实的高等数理基础和专业理论基础；具有中文的听说读写能力；掌握通信理论、通信网络、通信系统、电子技术、信息处理理论、电子信息系统及计算机软、硬件系统的基本知识；具备相关领域分析问题、解决问题的能力与一定的工程实践能力；具有较强的知识更新能力、创新能力和综合设计能力；
具有一定的学科前沿知识和良好的从事科学研究及工程开发工作的能力。
Training Model and Objectives:
This major is designed to cultivate engineering-development talents and friendly ambassadors for cultural exchanges with both excellent academic and moral qualities, have basic Chinese language skills and understand Chinese culture, master basic theories, knowledge and skills of this field, and can participate in and promote friendly cooperative relations between China and their countries.
The training objectives of this major are: having a solid mathematical and physical foundation and professional theoretical basis; having the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese; mastering the basic knowledge of communication theory, communication network, communication system, electronic technology, information processing theory, electronic information system and computer softwareand hardware systems; having the ability to analyze and solve problems in related fields and a certain engineering practice ability; having strong abilities of renewing knowledge, innovation and integrated design; having certain frontier knowledge and good ability to engage in scientific research and engineering development.
