4.1 General Requirements

4.1.1 Lifting operations are classifiedinto critical lifts and ordinary lifts,in which the critical lifts refer to those meeting any one of the following conditions:

a)Workpiece with a mass of 100t or above;

b)Workpiece with a length of 60m or above;

c)Lifting operations that are specified as critical lifts by the construction contractor.

4.1.2 Lifting machinery shall be used,registered and maintained in accordance with the Management rules on using lifting machinery TSG Q5001.

4.1.3 In addition to this Specification,lifting machinery shall be usedin accordance with the Safetyrules forlifting appliances GB 6067.

4.1.4 Rigging hardware and lifting gear shall be provided with quality certificates(manufacturer's documents).

4.1.5 For allowable stress,bearing capacity and safety factor of carbon steel,welds and plain/high strength bolt connectors,refer to Appendix A.
