如约走进了多伦多卡门牛扒房（Carmen’s Steak House），它是我在多伦多采访的第一家餐厅。卡门牛扒房所在的这栋楼已有60多年的历史了，被多伦多政府列为文物保护。推开那扇充满故事的大门，只见柔和的灯光下，狭长的走廊两边挂满了名人的照片，记录了经营者60多年的传奇历史。穿过左侧的一扇门，就到了典雅的前餐厅，走廊的尽头是古典的主餐厅，顺着楼梯走到二楼，可见宽阔的可供聚会的餐吧，还有几间贵宾餐房。年代久远的施华洛世奇大吊灯，曾在教堂见过的色彩斑斓的有名人签名的玻璃窗，高大的壁炉，古式木椅，随处可见的古董、壁画、饰品，在温暖的灯光下折射出神秘的色彩，见证着卡门牛扒房古老的历史和传奇的故事。
Carmen’s Steak House is the first restaurant that I visited in Toronto. The building hasa history of over 60 years and is listed among protected cultural heritages by the Torontogovernment. Through the historic door, you walk into a narrow corridor with gentle lights andphotos of stars and celebrities on both sides of the wall – these are the legends of Carmen’s SteakHouse. Through the door on the left and you can see the quiet and luxuriant dining space and atthe end of the corridor is the classic main dining hall. Climbing the stairs to the second flour, youcan see a spacious party room and a few private rooms. The old Swarovski crystal chandelier,the colorful church window glass with celebrities’ names on it, the tall fireplace, ancient woodenchairs, antiques, frescos and decorations reflect mysterious color under the soft light – everythinghas witnessed the past and the legend of old Carmen’s Steak House.
