John is a stranger to this area and probably he lost his way. He is asking a passerby for help. Will he succeed in arriving at the destination?
John: Excuse me. Can you lend me a hand? How can I get to the ticket office of the railway station?
Passerby A: Oh, I am sorry. I am new here, I don't have a clue, either.
John: Thank you all the same.
(He asks another person for help.)
John: Excuse me, madam. Can you help me? Where is the ticket office of the railway station?
Passerby B: Let me see. Well, walk along this street until a big block and then turn left. You will see a traffic light, turn right and then go straight that road. A skyscraper is in front of you. The ticket office is close to it.
John: Is it far away from here? Do I need to take a bus?
Passerby B: It will take you fifteen minutes on foot.If you want to take a bus, the number 93 will carry you there.
John: Do you mean I turn left first and then turn right?
Passerby B: Yes. The markings along the route are quite plain. They are easy to spot.
John: I appreciate your help.
