你如何看待上司?

面试这么问

What makes a good manager? 一位好经理应该具备什么特质?

回答这么说

似是而非:

A manager should be able to use his employees well. 经理应该要有能力妥善利用他的雇员们。

原该如此:

A manager should be able to supervise the team well. 经理应该要有能力妥善管控团队。

Tips: 第一种回答看似无错,不过,use一词听起来并不怎么人性化,可能会引起反感;而第二种回答的措辞就比较得体了。

开口这么学

直言优秀上司应该具备的特质:

● To be able to give fair feedback.

可以给予员工公正的回馈。

● To be open to opinions.

可以聆听他人的意见。

● To be able to make one's expectations clear.

可以明确地表示自己对员工的期望。

● Managers should always give their staff constructive criticism.

经理应该随时给员工提出建设性的批评。

● A manager should be able to run the team smoothly and harmoniously.

经理应该要有能力让团队顺利、和谐地运作。

● A leader should be able to motivate team members to attain their goals.

一位领导者必须激励团队达成目标。

● A manager should help the employees set goals and achieve them.

经理应该要帮助雇员们设定目标并且达成目标。

● It is important for the manager to distribute work fairly and properly.

对经理来说,适度地、公平地分配工作是很重要的。

● Motivating staff members to work hard is the most important job of a manager.

激励员工努力工作,是经理最重要的工作。

● One of the most important qualities of a manager is to help all the staff members to achieve their utmost potential.

经理最重要的品质之一就是,帮助所有职员发挥出他们最大的潜力。

● The team leader cannot be indecisive, or else the team members get confused and will not be able to function successfully.

换位思考优秀上司所具备的特质:

● I'm sure I'll be able to lead any team successfully.

● I aim to run a harmonious team with no problems in communication.

● I would make it clear to let my staff members know I expect nothing but the best from them.

● I would set a good example by working hard so that my staff would be motivated to work hard too.

● If my staff members underperformed, I would not be mad at them but would instead give appropriate advice.

● My boss is an amazing person. Her only flaw, I think, is that she's a bit too kind and doesn't know how to stand up for herself. As it is, we employees have to constantly fight her battles for her.

● My boss doesn't really have a lot of weak points. Off the top of my head, his most memorable weak point is that he's tone deaf.

● My boss gets lost easily. I remember that he got lost in his own neighborhood once.

应对这么来

即便你只是想要做个本本分分的小职员,也有可能会在面试中被问到关于上司和管理工作的问题。一位优秀的管理者或是领导人,自然需要具备很多特质或是条件,而这些特质或是条件,如果求职者可以具备的话,在面试中必然就会给你争取到更多的好感。

通常而言,管理阶层最重要的就是,必须让员工有干劲、有动力,要实现这一点,就要心胸开阔、善于倾听并且乐于倾听员工的意见,尽力创造出令人愉快的、积极向上的工作氛围。此外,管理者或是领导人也要有能力来整合、统领团队工作,要以明确的、始终如一的态度,表露出对下属的期待,肯定赞扬下属的成就,适时地给予下属建议、指引或是批评,促使下属改进完善自身的工作能力。

简言之,回答对上司的看法时,要注意以下3点:

称赞胜于攻击:对于上司的看法,尤其是对之前的上司的看法,最好不要有什么负面的评价。即便你真的要提到某位上司的缺点,也要尽量避免提到有损他人名誉的缺点。

不要说得太多:求职者被问及对上司的看法时,面试官通常都只是希望借着这个问题来侧面了解你的能力或是品行,语言应该以简明概括为佳,切忌长篇大论。
