一、常用打招呼用语

How’s everything? 一切都好?

What’s up? 近况如何?

What’s new? 有什么新鲜事?

What’s happening? 在忙什么?(任何时候都可以用,但比较见外)

How are you? 你好吗 ?

How are you doing? 你好吗 ?

Nice to meet you. 很高兴见到你。

Nice to see you again. 很高兴再见到你。

How have you been? 你过得怎么样 ?

Long time no see. 好久不见。

Hi/Hello, Mr. Smith. 你好,史密斯先生。

So long/See you, Mr. Smith. 再见,史密斯先生。

I’m glad/pleased to know/see/know you. 很高兴见到 / 认识你。

How nice to meet you. 见到你真高兴。

Good/nice/glad/pleased to see/meet you again. 很高兴再次见到你。

Small world, isn’t it? 又见面了。

I’m glad to have met you. 见到你很高兴。

I hope we’ll meet again some time. 希望不久后能再见到你。

Haven’t seen you for some time/a long time/for centuries/for ages. 好久不见了。

It’s been a long time. 好久不见了。

What a surprise! 真没想到会(在这里)遇见你。

I didn’t expect to meet you here! 真没想到会(在这里)遇见你。

二、常用寒暄语

How’s everything/business? 一切 / 生意都好吗?

How’s life? 过得好吗?

How are things with you? 过得好吗?

What’s new with you? 近况好吗?

Anything new? 近来如何?

You’re keeping well. 过得不错嘛!

What are you doing these days? 近来忙什么?

How was your weekend? 周末过得如何?

How are you? 身体如何?

Are you better? 好点了吗?

Are you well? 好吗?

Are you feeling better now? 现在感觉好点了吗?

I’m very well indeed, thank you. 确实很好,谢谢。

Quite well, thank you. 很好,谢谢。

Pretty good, thank you. 很好,谢谢。

Fine, just fine. 很好,很好。

I’m just great. 好极了。

I’m on top of the world, thanks. 幸福极了。

Couldn’t be better. 好得不能再好了。

OK, thanks. 还不错,谢谢。

Pretty fair, thanks. 相当不错,谢谢。

Not bad, thanks. 并不太坏,谢谢。

No complaints. 无可抱怨。

Just so-so, thanks. 一般般 / 马马虎虎,谢谢。

Same as ever. 和从前一样。

Notes

1.Hi/ Hello! 你好!

Hi 用于非正式场合; Hello 可以用于正式场合或非正式场合。应答语是相同的。

2.Good morning! 早上好! Good afternoon! 下午好! Good evening! 晚上好!

Good morning!/ Good afternoon!/ Good evening! 这些是较正式的问候语,根据不同的时间场合来 选用。应答语也是相同的。

3.How are you? 你好吗?

How are you? 用于询问对方的身体状况及其他情况。其答语为: I’m fine (OK). / Fine, thank you. 时还可以用“ And you? ”反问。

4.How do you do? 您好!

How do you do? 是初次见面时的问候语,应答语相同。在现代英语中, How do you do? 已经很少 见了,哪怕在正式场合,取而代之的是: How are you doing? How is it going?

5.Nice to see (meet) you. 见到你很高兴。

Nice to see (meet) you. 用于见面时的寒暄。应答语为: Nice to see (meet) you, too.

6.I’m glad to have met you. 很高兴遇到你。

Nice meeting you. 主要用于分手的场合,也可说 Nice to have met you. / It is/was nice to have met you. / I’m glad to have met you.

其大意为“认识你很高兴”。如:

—I must be off now. Nice meeting you. 我要走了,认识你很高兴。

—Nice meeting you too. Bye-bye. 认识你我也很高兴,再见。

严格说来, Nice to meet you 之类的用于见面的场合,而 Nice meeting you 之类的用于分手的场合, 但在实际使用中,人们有时也在分手时用 Nice to meet you。

7.What’s up? 怎么回事? / 有什么事? / 近来可好?

用于口语,亲密的朋友间打招呼“怎么样”“最近过得怎么样?”“有什么新消息?”“你好吗?”“怎么了?” “发生什么啦?”,绝大多数时候这只是相当于“嗨!”,回答也往往只是“ Nothing. ”(没什么。)

在网络聊天中,常将 what’s up 简称为 ’sup。

A: How nice to meet you.

B: It’s really nice to meet you, too.

Conversation 3

A: What a pleasure to meet you!

B: I’m glad to meet you, too. I’ve been looking forward to meeting you for a long time.

Conversation 4

A: I’ve heard so much about you.

B: Really? Thanks. I’m so flattered.

A: I’ve been looking forward to meeting you for a long time. I am so happy to finally meet you.

B: Well, I hope you haven’t heard anything bad about me!

A: No! Of course not! I’ve only heard terrific things. I really admire you so much.
